What Aint is? Aint is a project of Peakpact Ltd in the UK. It exists to recognise human-made creative work through two badge standards: Platinum and Silver. Platinum is for work made without Ai at any stage. Silver is for human-led work where Ai may have been used only in limited pre-production or support stages, with the creative authorship, judgement, and making remaining meaningfully human. Aint also offers a separate paid Audited Badge service for creators, studios, and organisations that need a deeper provenance review. The terms herein apply to the standard Aint badge system unless a separate audited service agreement says otherwise.

How the standard badge works. The standard Aint badge process is a reviewed self-certification model. When you submit work, you make a personal declaration about how that work was made. Aint then reviews what you send and decides whether to recognise the claim under the relevant badge standard. Recognition means Aint considers your submission coherent and credible on the basis of the information, images, and statements you provided. It does not mean Aint guarantees authorship with forensic certainty, and it does not mean Aint has investigated every possible tool, file, or circumstance beyond your submission.

Review and approval. Submitting work does not automatically grant a badge. Aint reviews submissions before approval and on a case-by-case basis. If your submission is successful, you will receive the relevant badge files and any related assets after review. If Aint needs more information, it may ask follow-up questions before making a decision. Aint aims to review standard submissions promptly, but response times are indicative rather than guaranteed.

Your declaration. By submitting work to Aint, you confirm that your statements are honest, accurate, and made in good faith. You also confirm that you either own the work you submit or have the right to submit it for review. If you are unsure whether your work meets the Platinum standard, you should not claim Platinum. If your process involved limited Ai input but the work remained clearly human-led, Silver may be the more accurate standard.

Your work and your rights. Your work remains yours. Aint does not take ownership of the work, image, files, or information you submit. Any rights you already hold remain with you. By submitting material to Aint, you give Aint a limited permission to use that material only for purposes connected with operating the badge programme. This includes reviewing your submission, corresponding with you about it, maintaining internal records, and, if you agree, displaying approved material on the Aint website, including the Featured Creators page.

Data and contact details. Aint uses your contact details to administer your submission, send badge-related emails, and communicate about your recognition, status, or relevant programme updates. Aint does not sell your personal data. Where personal data is held, Aint will handle it in line with applicable UK data protection requirements. You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, subject to any lawful need to retain essential records of badge decisions and programme administration.

Using the full badge. If your work is recognised, Aint gives you permission to use the relevant full badge file for that recognised work. The full badge may be displayed on or alongside the specific piece that was reviewed and approved, and in related portfolio, publication, proposal, or social media contexts where that same recognised work is clearly the subject. Each full badge is recognised for one piece of work. It is the record of that piece, not a general credential for all your work. If you want to display an Aint badge against a different piece, that piece must be submitted and recognised in its own right.

Using the mini badge. When your work is recognised by Aint, you may also receive a mini badge. The mini badge is a smaller version of the Platinum or Silver badge designed for reduced-size uses such as email signatures, social bios, portfolio headers, website footers, and similar creator identity contexts. The mini badge says you are a recognised Aint creator and it communicates your own commitment to human creativity via no or limited Ai use. It does not certify any specific work you attach it to. Use the full badge when you want to make a claim about a specific piece. Use the mini badge when you want to show that you, as a creator, have had work recognised by Aint. The mini Platinum badge and mini Silver badge carry the same qualifying and disqualifying criteria as their full-size equivalents. They are not lesser or lighter standards. They are simply smaller-format versions of the same recognition. If work would not meet eligibility criteria for the full Platinum Badge, it is not eligible for the mini Platinum badge either. The mini badge may be used more generally by the recognised creator, but it must not be used in a way that implies that unsubmitted work, client work, or communications have themselves been individually recognised by Aint where that is not the case.

What you may not do. You may not apply an Aint badge to work that has not been submitted and recognised by Aint. You may not alter badge artwork in a way that changes its meaning, misrepresents its status, or obscures the distinction between Platinum and Silver. You may not sublicense, transfer, or let another person or organisation use your badge as if it were theirs. You may not use Aint branding, wording, or badges in a way that implies endorsement of you, your studio, your organisation, or your wider body of work beyond what Aint has actually recognised.

Misuse, suspension, and revocation. If Aint has reasonable grounds to believe that a declaration was false, materially misleading, or no longer supportable, it may pause, suspend, or revoke the relevant badge rights. This may include removal of a creator profile or public listing, withdrawal of permission to display badge assets, and refusal of future submissions. Where possible, Aint will contact you before making a final decision and allow a fair opportunity to respond - we're all human here! Aint aims to handle these situations proportionately, with a human process rather than a punitive or automated one.

Founding member status. Where Aint designates a founding member period, creators recognised within that period may receive founding member status. Founding member status is an Aint recognition designation. It does not expand the scope of badge permissions, and it does not turn a work-specific badge into a general certification for all work.

Changes to standards or programme structure. Aint may refine its standards, wording, categories, and programme structure over time. This may include changes to submission prompts, review stages, badge formats, community features, or related services. We aim to make any changes with improvements in mind and to keep Aint products and services up-to-date with the changing landscapes of Ai and human creativity. We are always open to member feedback here. Where changes materially affect badge meaning or use, Aint may update these terms and, where appropriate, notify current recognised creators.

Paid services and related offers. Aint is also part of a wider Peakpact offer that may include paid audited badges, advisory work, Ai support, provenance review, merchandise, or related services. Any paid service will be governed by its own pricing and service terms where relevant. Liability and common sense limits. Aint provides a trust-based recognition system. It does not promise that third parties will interpret badges correctly, use them fairly, or refrain from disputing them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aint is not liable for indirect losses, reputational disputes, or third-party actions arising from the display or interpretation of badges, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any matter that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
